Influencing society is a key focus of the AGORA among research and teaching.

The AGORA Centre regularly arranges events bringing together political gatekeepers and researchers to discuss matters of equality and social justice. The AGORA’s impact is on improving these areas through lectures, reports and publications based on its research.

Several members of the AGORA have long-running experience in equality and social justice projects related to development of teaching and learning. The AGORA’s research has direct implications for teaching, teacher education and education policy.

The AGORA’s events are mostly open for the public and we put a lot of resources in communication and advertising these events. During 2014-2015 several hundred people have already participated in AGORA activities and we tend to keep it that way.
