I’m a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Social Research (Sociology), University of Helsinki. I have also acted as a university lecturer at the Educational Sciences Discipline, the Institute of Behavioural Sciences. For the semester period 2012 I held a fellowship in honour of Erik Allardt at the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study (SCAS) in Uppsala, Sweden.

My doctoral dissertation, published by Peter Lang, was called From Habits to Social Structures. Pragmatism and Contemporary Social Theory, and it discussed the relevance of pragmatism for social thought. In my postdoctoral reserch I’ve been interested in themes related to social networks.

I’m the book review editor of the Finnish multidisciplinary journal Tiede & edistys. I’ve also acted as a peer reviewer for international journals.
