Yesterday I managed to get WinEdt, R, and SumatraPDF working together for editing Sweave files. I followed the instructions written by Duncan Murdoch. I have used WinEdt and LaTeX for a long time. The detail instructions for using WinEdt and SumatraPDF together came from Rob J Hyndman’s blog.
This makes working on the notes for the statistics courses a lot easier. Sweave allows me to include R commands in the LaTeX (text) file and get the R commands and/or output including figures directly into the pdf file. No cutting and pasting, no figure files produced separately!

Got it working also under Windows 7 and WindEdt’s new version 6.
