The project was applied for and is headed by the PI Prof. Xenia Zeiler, head of the discipline and tenure track professor at South Asian Studies at HU.

South Asian Studies at HU is situated at the Faculty of Arts. The interdisciplinary research and teaching focuses on contemporary India. The current research foci include Digital Humanities and Communication Culture related to India (focus: video games/gaming and mediatization), and Pop Culture and Religion in India and the Indian Diaspora (focus: digital Hinduism, global Hinduism).
