Directory of Open Access Books on OAPENin (= Open Access Publishing in European Networks) avaama hakupalvelu, johon kerätään vertaisarvioituja tieteellisiä kirjoja, jotka on julkaistu vapaasti saataville.

Nyt alussa kirjoja on n. 750 20 eri kustantajalta ja lisää on tulossa lähiaikoina. Kirjoja voi myös selailla tieteenalan mukaan. Suurin osa kirjoista on humanistisilta ja yhteiskuntatieteellisiltä aloilta, mutta aiheenmukaisessa hakemistossa on myös luonnontieteellisten alojen kategorioita, joissa on tällä hetkellä tarjolla vain muutama kirja.

DOAB:in kirjoja on monilta arvostetuilta kustantajilta. Kotimaisen Julkaisufoorumin kustantajalistoissa niistä on arvioitu korkeimmalle tasolle 5 kustantajaa (Berg, Brill, Palgrave Macmillan, Taylor & Francis, University of Michigan Press) ja tasolta 1 löytyy vielä lisäksi 8 kustantajaa.

Directory of Open Access Books is a discovery service launched by OAPEN (= Open Access Publishing in European Networks) for peer reviewed books published under an Open Access license.

At the start of the service there are just over 20 publishers participating with about 750 Open Access books and new publishers and books will be added in the next few days. The books can be browsed by discipline. Most of the books are from the humanities or social sciences.

DOAB includes many respected publishers. In the Finnish Publication Forum classification 5 of them (Berg, Brill, Palgrave Macmillan, Taylor & Francis, University of Michigan Press) are on the level 2 and further 8 were ranked to level 1.

Christian Periodical Index on avattu Helsingin yliopiston käyttöön 31.5. asti. Palvelu sisältää evankelisia kristillisiä lehtiä aina vuodesta 1976 lähtien.

Aihealueina ovat uskonto, teologia ja raamatun tutkimus, mutta myös kirjallisuutta, lääketiedettä, musiikkia, filosofiaa, historiaa, sosiologiaa ja kasvatusta sisältyy palveluun.

Yli 140:een lehteen sisältyvät mm. seuraavat lehdet: Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, Journal of Psychology and Theology, Bible and Spade, Journal of Christian Nursing.

On trial Christian Periodical Index until 31.5. Christian Periodical Index provides indexing for evangelical Christian journals providing both article and review indexing.

Current indexing includes over 140 titles back to 1976. Although religion, theology, biblical studies and pastoral theology are prominent subjects in the journals indexed, it also provides journals in literature, medicine, music, philosophy, history, sociology and education. Some of the titles indexed include, Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, Journal of Christian Nursing, Bible and Spade and Journal of Psychology and Theology.
