Making Sense of Education for Diversities?

A one-day Conference organized by the Education for Diversities Research Group (E4D)

Department of Teacher Education (University of Helsinki, Finland)

Many different fields deal with diversities in education, using different polysemic concepts: multicultural education, intercultural education, global education, international education, etc. This one-day conference proposes to discuss the following questions: What does the label “Education for diversities” mean? Who does it refer to? What does the plural form of the word signal? What consequences does it have for education and teacher education? What competences does it require?
