Have you ever had that- gee I wish I had thought of that- feeling when coming upon an incredibly simple and elegent study? I’ve had that all too often. There are so many good ideas for research out there staring us right in the face, we just don’t see them.
The world of art parallels science in many ways, and in the last week I imagine there are a ton of people into music that areĀ amazed by the results of the Israeli musician/producer Kutiman’s simple yet incredibly beautiful idea (not to mention his incredible talent).
I think after Kutiman put his album online last week, a worldwide choir could be formed by thousands singing the chorus “Why didn’t we think of that?”.
There is a drawback for Kutiman though. His website is down fairly frequently because it is overloaded with people trying to hear his new album.
I think I’ll listen to Kutiman on a regular basis as an inspirational way to remind myself to see that the very ordinary has amazing potential, and that there is always something waiting to be discovered that is sitting right in front of me, I just don’t know it yet.
Just what did Kutiman do?
