Practical information

Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies is located in the central of Helsinki, in the middle of the university campus. The address of the collegium is Fabianinkatu 24.

Arriving in Helsinki:

By plane: In order to get to the city centre of Helsinki from the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, you can take the train I/P (either one goes to the Helsinki central railway station, but their routes are different) or the bus 615. You can buy tickets from a ticket machine at the airport (recommended), or from the conductor/ driver. You can also take a Finnair airport bus, and an airport taxi.

By ship: There are several harbours in Helsinki, but they all are near the city centre. You can take either the tram 5 from Katajanokan terminaali or 9 and 6 from Länsiterminaali.

 

The accommodation for the speakers who come outside Helsinki, is at the Original Sokos Hotel Helsinki. It is located near the campus, at the Kluuvikatu 8. You will get there with the same public transport described above.

At the hotel, you can check in earliest at 3 p.m., and you should check out latest at 12.

The restaurant for the symposium dinner will be the restaurant Juuri in Korkeavuorenkatu 27, at 7 p.m.
