Welcome to register to the 7th biennial Congress of the European Network for Comparative Literary Studies/Réseau Européen d’Études Littéraires Comparées! The early bird fees are valid until 1st of May, then an additional €30 will be charged.

Both the registration fees and membership of ENCLS/REELC fees are compulsory and one cannot proceed on the registration form without choosing them.
All the elements must be bought at the same time, e.g. one cannot buy the conference dinner or Vallisaari trip afterwards.
The registration fees can be paid with a credit card (Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, American Express) or via Finnish online bank. Please read through the cancellation policy. The registration is binding.
You are welcomed to bring an accompanying person with you. When registering more than one person on the registration form, only one registration confirmation will be sent. The registration fee for an accompanying person can be seen below. If your accompanying person only wishes to attend one session (for instance, the session at which you speak), they do not have to register/pay. If the person accompanying you wishes to join us only for the conference dinner and/or Vallisaari island, it is possible. They will not have to pay the registration/membership fees. You will only have to pay for their fees relative to the conference dinner and/or Vallisaari island. In this case, you need to register them for the conference dinner and/or Vallisaari via the form.
You will choose below whether you will participate in the conference as:
– Full-time academic (academics who teach on a permanent, full basis)
– Part-time academic (academics who only teach on an hourly-basis) / Post-doc / Retired
– Student (valid for students from undergraduate to postgraduate level with student cards or other proof of student identity)
– Keynote speaker (only for the 3 chosen keynote speakers – see “Speakers” section of this website)
– Representative of the Organizing or Scientific Committee (only for the members of the organising committee, who have been informed)
– Other (if your status is something else than above)
The partipation/attendance fee includes a folder with brochures, maps, detailed programme, pen and paper; it also includes coffee breaks and lunch on the 3 first days.
You are most welcome to take part in the conference dinner and visit of Vallisaari island, but both are optional and subject to an additional fee.

The registration fees (compulsory) include a folder with Helsinki City information & maps, the conference detailed program, pen and paper ; it also includes coffee breaks and lunch at the Bank Restaurant on the 3 first days.
The membership fees (compulsory): access to a website with regular announcements, a triannual newsletter, a biennial congress and a biennial volume of selected essays by members. Please note that the membership fee is compulsory in order to participate in the conference. Please make sure that you choose the membership fee if you have not paid it to the ENCLS/REELC beforehand.
Conference dinner : Thursday August 24th
subject to an additional registration and fee (€50) 19.00–21.00 The Conference dinner will take place in Restaurant Sipuli, Street name Kanavanranta 7. Set in a restored red brick warehouse, Ravintola Sipuli gives a truly a unique setting to experience exceptional Finnish food. The price includes dinner, accompanied with the opening drink, coat rack fees and coffee/tea.
Day trip to the island Vallisaari : Saturday August 26th
subject to an additional registration and fee (€52) We offer you the possibility to embark on a walking tour of the beautiful summer island of Vallisaari, while an English-speaking guide tells you about its nature and history. The tour will start at 10.00 in the morning and ends at 14.00 in the afternoon. The walk on the island, approximately 1.30 hours in length, will be followed by a short cruise with dinner served on-board the ferry.

The Cancellation Policy
Registration is binding. Notifications, amendments and cancellations must be made in writing (by e-mail or airmail) to Konffa Ltd. The fee for any amendment is 10 €/ registration. Should there be any mistakes in the given registration details, the fee for correction will be 10 €.
Cancellations will be accepted until 15 June 2017 with a refund of all paid fees, less an administration charge of 50 €. After 15 June 2017 no refunds will be given and the fees will be charged fully. Force Majeure, health related issues: Should there occur an insuperable obstacle related to a registered person’s health, the refund fee will be made in full, less an administration charge of 50 €. Cancellation must be made in writing (by e-mail or airmail) to Konffa Ltd. An official and original medical certificate must be presented within two (2) weeks of the cancellation notification.
All-inclusive travel insurance is recommended.
