March 2017: Mengxia Liu  successfully competed and obtained a four year (2017 – 2021) paid doctoral student position from China Scholarship Council (CSC)  to work in our Forest Pathology Group.

February 2017:  Genome sequencing & assembly for the tropical rubber tree pathogen Rigidoporus microporus ED310 has now been completed (courtesy of JGI).

January 2017: We welcome our new Master’s students (Artin Zarsav & Pyry Veteli) in Forest Pathology Research Group.

October 2016: Zilan Wen  successfully competed and obtained a four year (2016 – 2020) paid doctoral student position from China Scholarship Council (CSC)  to work in our Forest Pathology Group.

September 2016: The genome sequence of fifteen Finnish isolates of the root and butt rot pathogen (Heterobasidion parviporum) of Norway spruce has been completed (sequenced by BGI). Annotation work is in progress.
