Almost a year has passed since the Generation Green initiative was launched. As the holidays are approaching, it is time to thank everyone involved for the past year and look to the future a bit.

The Generation Green team is proud to announce the final program of the Green Pharmacy seminar to be held on Monday 1 February 2016. We are honored to host a number of influential speakers addressing both the environmental risks of drug use and the possibilities of sustainable (drug) development. The afternoon discussion sessions are to provide a free-form forum for inspiring interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary discussions. All welcome! Please, remember to register by 20 January at latest.

The Generation Green club meetings also kicked off on Thu 3 Dec with Dr Janna Pietikäinen from HENVI introducing the participants to the goals of sustainability science and environmental teaching at the University of Helsinki. For more information, see for instance the links below:

The Generation Green club meetings start running again as of 14 Jan 2016, first addressing environmental considerations in the discipline of pharmacology by prof. Raimo Tuominen. All welcome (Viikki campus, Biocenter 2, Viikinkaari 5E, room 2004)!

Looking forward to a propsperous, greener new year of 2016!
Season greetings on behalf of the Generation Green team!
