Moi!!!

What you are about to read is the result of the work of 23 students from around the world who enjoyed some months at the University of Helsinki. As a task of the course we ourselves had to make the magazine from scratch without much guidance. Technically we are amateurs. “Where to start?” “Who are the journalists?” “What’s the theme?” All we knew was the deadline.

In order to work efficiently, we divided the team in three groups: Journalists, Visual-Team and Editors. It was a rather natural process where the people who wanted to write, wrote, the creative ones did the design part and we “the control freaks” became the editors.

But what is the magazine about? We had a huge amount of ideas and we figured out that the hidden topics were the interesting ones, those which were not obvious. We have articles with a wide range of topics, you just have to find your favourite ones.

We hope you will enjoy reading our magazine!

Best Regards from the Editors!

Legitimizing Consumer Journalism

Most of us have read articles that introduce the latest fashion, test various products or show us how to furnish our homes. So called life style magazines are filled up with big, colourful pictures accompanied by information where to buy the products referred. Whose thoughts are these?

We easily think that the thoughts in our heads are of our own production. However, media and advertisements can affect our minds. What if it was scientifically proven that telepathy is our natural capability? We can only imagine how telepathically communicated images of a new commercial product or ideas of a political party could affect our thinking. If communication is possible between minds, wouldn’t it be the revolution of media as we know it? Read More »
