Changes to the learning environment in Minerva – collections and customer service to move to Kaisa

This post is also available in: Finnish Swedish

Changes are coming to the library services in the Minerva building on Siltavuorenpenger. The collections and customer service will be moved to the Kaisa House in spring 2015.

This releases the library facilities for the use of the Faculty of Behavioural Sciences. The remaining library space in the Minerva building will be converted into a learning environment with many types of work areas for students.

Students are invited to participate in designing the space: submit your ideas to the suggestion box placed in the Minerva building, or send them via email to opiskelijatoim-kirjasto (a) helsinki.fi.

During the autumn, the student committee of the Helsinki University Library will organise a discussion and brainstorming event for students to gather ideas for the space.

The Minerva library will be open for the last time in the current premises on 2 April 2015. The new learning environment will open to students in autumn 2015.
