On trial until 6.5.2018: What do you think of VitalSource Bridge e-book platform?

The trial of VitalSource Bridge offers 12 textbooks on various subjects until the end of the 4th teaching period.

The VitalSource Bridge platform contains the following titles published by Pearson:

You can read books without configuring a Bookshelf account, but your account enables creating and keeping notes and also downloading an application for offline access.

Terkko’s textbooks as long-term loans starting May 8th, 2017

As of Monday, May 8th, you get long-term loans on textbooks from the Meilahti Campus Library.

Due date will fall no earlier than September 18th, 2017, when you borrow or renew your loans

  • April 24th onwards for books with a 28-day loan period
  • May 8th onwards for books with a 14-day loan period
  • May 18th onwards for books with a 2-day loan period.

The Meilahti Campus Library Terkko will be closed for renovations. The last day Terkko will be open is Friday May 19th, 2017 and the building will reopen in the beginning of the autumn term in 2017.

Change in textbook loan period on the city centre campus

Starting in August, the textbook collection in Kaisa House will have a loan period of two weeks (14 days). The collection has previously contained both 28 day and 14 day loans. The change is intended to make books circulate faster so that as many students as possible can get the books they need.

If you have textbook loans from Kaisa House in August, you will be able to renew them as usual, but the loan period will be 14 days. The short-term loans will continue to have a loan period of 2 days.
