The AP in Denmark is made up of 15 innovating farmers, dedicated to Conservation Agriculture and no-tilling farming practices. The farmers live at locations scattered all over the region of Zealand. They meet informally 4-5 times a year to share experiences and discuss their new ideas, challenges met in their daily farming activities, outcomes of trial solutions to problems, and so on. The farmers in the Adaptation Pilot work with scientists from RUC and DTU Universities, using the methodology of “future workshops”.

Activities in the Adaptation Pilot Denmark

The farmers in the Danish AP practice conservation agriculture with a focus on sustaining high crop productivity while conserving biodiversity and safeguarding soil fertility (carbon sequestration).  It is expected that conservation agriculture practices can also contribute to making agricultural systems more resilient to climate change.
