The overarching theme connecting my personal research interests is the interplay between individual-level behavior and population processes. That is, I’m interested in the psychological basis of demographic behavior and outcomes.
Fertility, migration and mortality are the three demographic processes that determine the dynamics and structure of populations, so my research addresses a variety of topics that look very different on the surface. However, they are all concerned with different aspects of the same broad phenomenon of micro–macro interactions in “psychodemography”.
