Student Conference (Mon 11 Jan)

Student conference ‘Dimensions of Tolerance’

This event follows right after ‘The 18th Nordic Conference on Systematic Theology: Ecumenical and Interreligious Challenges’ and is organised by graduate students of theology at the University of Helsinki and the University of Eastern Finland. It probes questions on tolerance, its dimensions and boundaries. What are the dimensions of tolerance? Where are the boundaries and how far can they be stretched?

Dimensions of tolerance include at least physical, rational, cultural, and religious, and can be addressed from both interpersonal and individual perspectives. The issue of tolerance takes shape in various ways in the papers presented by master’s and doctoral students that represent various fields of systematic theology.

The conference takes place at Metsätalo (Unioninkatu 40, Helsinki, halls 9 and 11) on January 11th, 2016. The conference is open to public. No registration required.
