Livia Johannesson’s dissertation project concerns asylum procedures in Sweden. The overall aim is to explore how credibility assessments has come to be a central part of the procedure and how this is affecting how asylum seekers are constructed by asylum adjudicators and others. Empirical material will mainly be government publications of various kinds and migration authorities’ decisions on asylum applications from different time periods.
