Seasons 2007-2008: Finds processing and exhibition

2007

The field season of 2007 was arranged in May and it involved mostly finds processing. During the season a visiting scholar, Prof. Michael MacKinnon from the University of Winnipeg, examined the bone material found in the excavations. The rest of the year was used to prepare the exhibition Domus Pompeiana – A House in Pompeii and its companion book with the same title.

2008

The exhibition Domus Pompeiana – A House in Pompeii was held at the Amos Anderson Art Museum in Helsinki and it opened in March. The exhibition showcased the House of Marcus Lucretius and the project’s work there. More than 30 000 visitors saw the exhibition before it closed in May.
