The ‘Protected childhood?’ conference is aimed at childhood researchers and other interested parties. The theme of the conference operates as a prism through which to interpret the varying viewpoints and approaches to childhood, taking into account its history, as well as looking at the current and future prospects. The conference asks how the framework of protection opens up questions and viewpoints on children and childhood in the different scientific disciplines.

VI. Lapsuudentutkimuksen päivät järjestetään Helsingin Yliopiston päärakennuksessa, Helsingissä (Fabiankatu 33) 6 – 8.6.2011
Suojeltu lapsuus? konferenssi on suunnattu lapsuudentutkijoille ja muille aiheesta kiinnostuneille. Konferenssin teema toimii prismana, jonka tarkoituksena on kirvoittaa erilaisia näkökulmia, lähestymistapoja ja avauksia lapsuuden historiaan, nykyisyyteen ja tulevaisuuteen. Konferenssissa pohditaan myös, millaisia kysymyksiä ja näkökulmia lapsuuteen suojelun viitekehys avaa eri tieteenalojen piirissä.
