The fourth meeting of the International Network of Address Research (INAR4) will take place at the University of Helsinki June 8–9, 2017. The conference is organized by the project ‘How to address? Variation and change in address practices´.

The volume ’Saako sinutella vai täytyykö teititellä? Tutkimuksia eurooppalaisten kielten puhuttelukäytännöistä’ (How should one address an interlocutor? Studies on address practices in European languages, Helsinki: Finnish Literature Society), edited by Johanna Isosävi and Hanna Lappalainen, appeared in June 2015. The volume deals with address practices of 13 languages spoken in Europe: Czech, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
