Legal history on the edge of Europe: Nordic law in the European legal community 1000-2000 a.d. (REUNA) is a network of legal historians dedicated to integrating Nordic legal history in the international scientific discussion.
The network consists of about 43 legal historians from Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland, the majority of which are doctoral students. The purpose of the network is to assist younger legal historians to cross national and regional confines and to take part in legal history debates in European context.
The concrete activities of the network are arranged into five workshops or symposiums over a period of five years 2004-2008. The network is financed by NordForsk and administrated by the University of Helsinki.
