This blog has been set up to share information and raise awareness about the Scholars at Risk (SAR) network and related activities and initiatives at the University of Helsinki and beyond. SAR is an international network of Universities and other HEI’s. It aims at protecting scholars who are threatened and face persecution, preventing attacks on higher education communities and promoting academic freedom worldwide. University of Helsinki became a member of the SAR network in 2014.
