The Doctoral Training Course includes one reception and one official dinner.

Reception

The welcome reception will be held right after the first day of lectures. Snack and aperitivo will be served.

Dinner

The region of Tuscany has many virtues and its cuisine is certainly one of them! Our dinner will take place at the OSTERIA LA CAPPONCINA, a traditional restaurant serving typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine. We will have a chance to try home made pasta from the local production ‘Mancini’, with a glass (or two) of delicious Tuscan red wine. The address of the restaurant is: Via San Romano  15/17R, 50135  Settignano Firenze.

Florence before Christmas 

By December the streets in the centre of Florence will be decorated with lights and Piazza Repubblica and Piazza Duomo will put up their annual Christmas trees. But you really know Christmas is coming when Piazza Santa Croce sets up for the annual German Christmas Market (Heidelberger Weihnachtsmarkt). Every year the 500 years old market of the German town Heidelberg comes to Florence with its holiday tradition and festive atmosphere. Piazza Santa Croce is filled with small wooden stalls selling everything from unique woollens and Bunzlau ceramics to handmade toys and colourful ornaments. It’s a great place to pick up stocking stuffers, holiday decorations or sweets.
