The Degree Programme on Translation Studies and Multilingual Communication produces versatile professionals of translation and interpreting as well as translation technology. The studies train the students for the professions of translation and interpretation, but also for expertise in multilingual and intercultural communication.
Students in the Degree Programme on Translation Studies and Multilingual Communication major in English, German, or Russian translation, in French Philology (translation line), or in translation studies that focus on translation technology. One of the languages in the language pair is Finnish. It is primarily an A working language, but it can also be a B working language. The study modules of the programme are also available for students of Polish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Czech, Hungarian, and Estonian translation where applicable, as shown in these subjects’ degree requirements.
