Abstract

The aim was to develop dryland management options and land-use policy guidelines for Increasing farm production on drylands in Africa by initiating the discussion among managers, researchers and trainers from African countries, by collecting experiences, and by writing a final policy guideline draft for dryland forestry In Africa. The main activity was a two-week workshop in Khartoum with field demonstrations and discussions in Darfur, White Nile, North Kordofan and Gedaref in Sudan.
