Fancy getting Finnish friends? Want to understand the Finnish culture and the way of life? If you answered YES, the ESN Buddy Project is for you!
The project is organized to bring together Finnish and foreign students from the University of Helsinki. All the group leaders “Buddies” are Finnish students or locals who know the city and the Finnish culture. They volunteer to introduce you to the Finnish lifestyle. The Buddy Project participants will be divided into small groups at the Buddy Project Launch Event. The buddy groups are encouraged to meet in their own time as often they feel like it.
The Finnish Buddies will be responsible for the groups and activities created but it is everyone’s responsibility to make it a success. After the project launch event, official Buddy Project events (which bring all the groups together) will be organized approximately once a month until the semester end (e.g. international dinner, bowling, sauna party).
