The consortium gathers in Lisbon

Next week the A-BRAIN consortium is meeting up in Lisbon for the International Conference on Neuroethics (ICONE) and the ERA-NET Neuron‘s cofund meeting.

In addition to a status update on the project as a whole, Samantha Rundle and Christian Hendershot from the CAMH are presenting the paper “The Brain Disease Model of Addiction and Implications for Public Stigma: A Cross-National Study”.

Doris Ochterbeck (Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology, BIPS) and Sarah Forberger are presenting the study “Ethical implications of brain-based explanations for addiction: A survey among scientists”

Matilda Hellman and Saara Salmivaara srom the University of Helsinki- based CEACG are presenting the media analysis “Spinning the Story of Addiction in the Brain”.

Michael Egerer (CEACG) and Samantha Rundle (CAMH) are presenting some results from focus group study with clients in at the CAMH.

The meetings will take place in the venues of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (garden pictured below)
