February 2015

Call for Expression of Interest is now closed. A total of 38 initial applications were sent from Finland, including sites governed by the universities of Eastern Finland, Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Oulu and Turku, Åbo Akademi University, FMI, Evira and LUKE.

These applications are currently being reviewed together with all other European Expressions of Interest. During the spring, the sites are compared with the AnaEE criteria, resulting in a national list of suitable sites. In the fall AnaEE moves towards the next phase where national decision makers commit to the funding of the selected sites and the AnaEE governance.

October 2014

31.10. AnaEE Finland brought together some 30 researchers from different institutions and research sites across the country to present the Call for Expression of interest and to discuss the interests of the Finnish research community. This was also an excellent opportunity to answer any questions or worries.

The atmosphere of the meeting was very positive and collaborative. The timetable was considered very ambitious, but most participants felt this was excellent opportunity to become a part of a European experimental ecosystem research ensemble.

Official Launch – AnaEE Call for Expression of Interest

AnaEE, as a key European distributed research infrastructure on the ESFRI roadmap, cordially invites all European countries to take part in a Call for Expression of Interest that aims to bring together the components of the AnaEE infrastructure.

This Call aims to identify platforms that could be part of AnaEE either in their current form or following an upgrade, as well as planned new platforms. These platforms will have to meet a certain number of criteria. The call will be coordinated in Finland by the Finnish National Contact Point Jaana Bäck (University of Helsinki, dept. of Forest Sciences).
