AnaEE Finland provides its users services from various infrastructures, coordinates the development of the infrastructures, and acts as a link between Finnish researchers and European networks. Joint use of field stations and other research facilities, equipment, data storage and data handling protocols between different infrastructure initiatives is an essential part of the INAR strategy. A special characteristic of the Finnish infrastructure landscape is the close interaction of European ESFRI projects, such as ICOS, AnaEE, Lifewatch and ACTRIS. This collaboration enhances more cost efficient use of the infrastructures, faster upgrades of equipment and hiring of people specialized in using them, and also researcher training. In addition, the collection of data in a harmonized manner enables comprehensive analysis to be made in support of decision makers.
