Frog is a Helsinki Collegium Core Fellow based in Folklore Studies at the University of Helsinki. He completed his PhD in Scandinavian Studies at University College London and is an Adjunct Professor (Docent) in both Folklore Studies and Scandinavian Languages at the University of Helsinki and in History of Religions at Stockholm University. He has worked extensively with mythology and oral poetry from a variety of perspectives, with particular interest in methods and theory.
Frog has presented a number of papers in connection with the ASME project.
