Updates about the coronavirus situation

Due to the coronavirus situation, the University of Helsinki where the Finnish China Center is housed has implemented exceptional emergency measures.

In this regard, visiting scholars and teachers as well as visitors required for carrying out University operations can, when necessary, arrive at the University in the autumn. However, safety and security guidelines and a 14-day quarantine after arriving in Finland, as stipulated in the guidelines set by the Finnish government, must be observed.

Travel abroad or in Finland must be limited to necessary travel only.

In light of this decision, the Center’s planned academic events will be held online, and visits will regrettably be disrupted.

We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time, and look forward to continuing our activities once the situation returns to normalcy.
