“My focus was on philosophy, and what I studied at Hawai’i was a mixture of both Chinese and Western philosophy. I also did some other cultural disciplines as well as some Japanese and Indian philosophy, but not to a large extent as I really wanted to focus in particular on Chinese philosophy.”
