Quote from Prof. Stig Thøgersen’s oral history interview

I also think that the difference between the very good students and the not so good students has increased enormously; the level of our best students now is much higher than when I was studying because they have been prepared at high school to work academically and they can do a lot of different things, but we also get students who really are not suited for university education. I think this enormous difference is very difficult when one teaches because the problem for whom to lecture arises. If one lectures to the top ten, one loses the rest, and if one lectures to the bottom quarter one then loses the top students. I think that has become more difficult.
