Order in the Indo-Pacific

The project, “Order in the Indo-Pacific: Gauging the Region’s Perspectives on EU Strategies and Constructive Involvement” is a one-year project sponsored by Mercator Stiftung in Germany (97,400 EURO). The project aids the EU policy community to understand the Indo-Pacific order better as viewed from a regional lens, specifically that of Japan, India, South Korea, Australia, and Vietnam. Throughout its duration, the project sustains a continuous link with the EU policy community and cross-sectoral with academia, think tanks, media, and (possibly) organized business by involving them in workshops and communicating findings through op-eds, the policy report, and presentations (knowledge conveyance meetings) with the policy communities in Brussels, Berlin, Helsinki, Stockholm, and The Hague. Our team members are Julie Yu-Wen Chen (University of Helsinki, Finland), Jagannath Panda (Institute for Security & Development Policy, Sweden) and Richard Ghiasy (GeoStrat Consulting & Leiden Asia Centre,The Netherlands).
