WP1 Climate projections and societal need for new competencies – Learning of the competencies of effective climate change mitigation and adaptation in the education system

Our main aims are:

To identify the need of climate change mitigation and adaptation competencies
To study, how can climate prediction data support climate change adaptation. Adaptation to climate change and benefitting from or avoiding its impacts can only be done by understanding the linkages between weather and climate
To identify effective climate change mitigation actions, to develop a data platform for the climate prediction data and to examine how simple climate models can be utilized in educational contexts.
