Hi,
I’m a potential PhD student hoping to apply now in September. One suggestion for the blog would be some ‘profiles’ on current PhD students, the type of research they are doing, how they find PhD life, etc.
Also possibly a way to get in touch with current PhDs doing research that is of interest to the applicant, to ask about their experiences. Obviously, there are links to lots of researchers online, but it can feel a bit daunting just getting in touch with someone you don’t know!
Thanks đŸ™‚
Does anyone know if there is any information about which WebOodi course codes are used for receiving credits from non-course sources, e.g., conferences or research visits? I have found some codes for conferences for example by searching WebOodi, but I am not sure which to use in which case. I have asked HYMY info and will post the answer if and when I receive it as I thought this would be relevant to others as well–or does someone have a link to some instructions?
Hi Marguerite!
I think you can find these codes on Weboodi: Doctoral Programme in Social Sciences > 2018-2019 >Structure of degree.
if you are unsure regarding which code to use I would recommend to ask our Doctoral Programme planner, or HYMY senior advisor https://blogs.helsinki.fi/doctoral-programme-social-sciences/keypeople/
let us know how it goes đŸ™‚
