The science campus in Kumpula will turn into a School for Witchcraft and Wizardry on Friday, 12 April, at 10-14. The headmaster of the school, Professor Siltanen, and deputy headmaster, Professor Palmroth, will be here to receive the pupils. The pupils are fourth- and fifth-graders from four schools in Helsinki and Espoo, along with pupils from Uusimaa who have attended StarT projects with the Science Education team.

There will be themed workshops in the entrance hall of Physicum at the University of Helsinki, in the light hallway, and connecting hallways, where the pupils will be studying  a train running  on air, solving encrypted messages, and seeing other scientific discoveries, even more wonderful than magic.

Other strange-looking characters may be haunting the hallways, as well!

All members of staff may contribute to making the day one to remember! As an example, you may want to dress in robes, reminiscent of the characters from a certain very popular book series, or in the school uniform of a boarding school, or some other costume. You can also bring an owl, a cat, or a toad.
