ESSO group took part in Thinkfest, an urban festival for science, organized by University of Helsinki on August 31 – September 5. This year Thinkfest focused on a global Helsinki and this theme was put into action in several events taking place around the centre of Helsinki.
Inga Jasinskaja-Lahti had a presentation about intergroup relations and integration of immigrants in the Science breaks loose at Kamppi -event, which was held in Kamppi shopping centre on September 1.
Sirkku Varjonen held a presentation “Helsinkiläinen ja maahanmuuttaja: samoja vai eri ajatuksia?” focusing on immigrants’ identities, lifestories and multiculturalism in Vox Helsinki -event held in University Main building on September 2.
