Encountering Otherness – Social Psychology Conference 2016

Members of the ESSO group attended Encountering Otherness – Social Psychology Conference that was organised in Tampere during 25. – 26 November 2016.

Professor Karmela Liebkind gave a keynote speech with topic Is social psychological research useful for improving intergroup relations?, addressing the questions to what extent the social psychology of prejudice-reduction is both socially useful and scientifically meaningful. In session ‘Encountering and making sense of otherness in the context of ethno-cultural diversity’, organized by Emma Nortio and Göksu Celikkol, also other ESSO-members presented their own research.
