LADA (2012 – 2014)

The Long-Term Adaptation of Diaspora Migrants

Lada project continued the research programme started in the INPRES project by focusing on factors promoting long-term adaptation of Russian immigrants to Finland, as well as the “push and pull” factors of immigration to Finland and Finnish labour market.

One aim of the project was to help recognize groups with different motivations and needs among potential migrants to Finland, in order to benefit their integration process. The results of the project provide the basis for practical recommendations aimed at professionals working in the field immigration and integration.

The project was funded by the Academy of Finland.
