Transportation and Accommodation

Like previous Hel-Lex, the conference will begin with a reception at the University of Helsinki on March 7. After the reception, participants will be transported by a chartered bus to the Tvärminne Zoological Station (see map).

Accommodation at the station is at basic but comfortable single or twin rooms, normally used by students and scientists. Each room is equipped with a handbasin and there are bathrooms down the hall. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at the cafeteria. Accommodation and meals as well as bus transportation from the reception at Helsinki to Tvärminne will be included in the conference fee.

We will spend three nights at the station (Wed 7 to Sat 10). For pre- and post-conference accommodation, a number of hotels are available in central Helsinki, including:

Hotel Arthur: 91 €/single room, special price for people visiting the university (standard price 105 €)

Hotel Arthur

Hotel Cumulus Kaisaniemi. Single: 109 €/night, double: 129/night.

Hotel Cumulus Kaisaniemi

(At the moment we have a special price for Hotel Arthur and Hotel Cumulus Kaisaniemi. We are trying to negotiate a conference package for others as well)
