About

HENVI Science Days are organized by Helsinki University Centre for Environment HENVI. Science Days provide as a discussion forum for researchers, students, policy makers and other interest groups in order to support dialogue between science and the society and serve as a platform for interdisciplinary environmental scientists to present their latest research findings.

In 2016 HENVI Science Day is titled “Environmental vulnerabilities in the globalizing world: How to adapt and manage change? ” and will take place on the 10th of May, 2016 in Helsinki, Minerva-Tori. The aim of the Science Day is to approach the concept of vulnerability from an interdisciplinary perspective and discuss how to manage and adapt to global change in the future.

HENVI Science Days are a part of the Forum for Environmental Information (FEI) that gathers together events aiming to enhance the use of scientific knowledge in decision-making. HENVI Science Day is organized in collaboration with Future Earth Finland (FEF) that is a national committee for global change research and represents Finland in international global change initiatives and programs.

HENVI Science Day 2016 is financially supported by Maj and Tor Nessling Foundation.
