New mentor company for the 2021-22 season!

We are happy to announce that Metsä Group has joined the group of HITP mentors! Metsä Group is especially reaching out to students from the  Data and Computer Science Programmes  as well as the Intercultural Encounters Programme,  as they wish to focus on  two main themes: ICT-work and DEI (Diversity, Equality and Inclusion).

Because Metsä Group joined the programme  during the application process, it may affect the choice of mentor that applicants have already made. Don’t worry, you can change your mind! If you want to change mentor, this is what to do:

Look for the confirmation email you received after registering to HITP. There you will find a link “edit your information”. Go into your application and edit all relevant fields.

The application closes 3.10.

Why apply?

HITP is aimed at giving information to international talents about a certain industry or field in Finland. Through a series of group meetings hosted by organizational mentors and career management workshops held by Career Services, mentees will learn about Finnish working life, from the specifics of how to enter field of interest to the practicalities of finding a job in Finland.

Whether you have just begun your studies or about to graduate, HITP offers great opportunities. From gaining resources and potential topics for your thesis, to gaining knowledge and connections for entering the job market, HITP will support your academic education by providing you with helpful tools for developing your career skills. Please note that HITP is a group mentoring programme, not a traineeship programme.

You can find the full lists of participating programmes  Participating Degree Programmes page. You can find all of the organisational mentors listed on the Companies and Organizations pages.  The mentors are presented this year on JobTeaser portal. We’re still updating some of the mentor profiles and will be publishing the rest as soon as possible.

When does it start?

The programme starts in November and ends in May 2022. You can find the detailed schedule of events on our Schedule page. If you have any questions, please consult the FAQ page or contact us for more information.
