Application for the seminar “History in Pop Culture – narratives, storytelling and truths” is opened!

The application for our online weekend seminar “History in Pop Culture – narratives, storytelling and truths” is open!
In the online seminar, we will dive into different aspects of pop culture and its relation to history. Pop culture, media, and representation of different events, people and history shape our understanding of the past. In what ways the narratives in pop culture phenomena shape our understanding of history and historical consciousness? How truthfully events or groups of people are depicted in pop culture? Furthermore, who has the power in storytelling, and whose viewpoints are we looking at? These are some of the questions we will be looking at during the seminar, which consists of different themed workshops and lectures related to history and popular culture!
Secure your spot at the seminar and apply before June 12th (23:59 EEST), 2021!
