About

You can find more information about me on my homepage.

To quote the first post of the blog, explaining the reason behind me writing this:

I decided to start this blog to chronicle my sabbatical year which will take me around the world. First 5 months in Korea, then 5 months in the Bay Area in the US. It is partly intended to show people in our department that going abroad is not a scary thing. ๐Ÿ™‚ย The prospects of actually being able to do research as my main activity is very enticing, not to mention the possibility of collaborating with new partners. I am very much looking forward to the whole year.

That was the original motivation behind me starting this blog and up until now (August 2013), that has been the main content in the blog. I’m still writing a few stories related to my year abroad, but I am planning to continue writing this blog in the future and focus more on my observations and comments on technology in general and the Internet in particular. I will strive to make time for writing. ๐Ÿ™‚
