I am a post-doctoral research scientist working in the space physics group at the University of Helsinki (UH). My main area of expertise is computational modelling of the dynamics of coronal and heliospheric plasmas using large-scale physics-based simulation techniques. I have developed several computer simulation codes that are now in daily operational use, e.g. in the EUHFORIA model that provides space weather forecasts. More recently, my research focuses on data-driven modelling of the solar corona to understand the initiation, evolution and propagation of coronal mass ejections from the Sun to Earth.
