Itsenäisyyspäivän perinteinen opiskelijoiden soihtukulkue järjestetään tänä vuonna 70:ttä kertaa. Muiden järjestöjen ohella myös Karavaani on kulkueessa mukana. Tervetuloa siis liittymään seuraamme Karavaanin lipun takaiseen joukkoon ja juhlistamaan 104 vuotiasta Suomea!
Liput järjestäytyvät klo 16:30 Hietaniemen hautausmaan kappelin edessä, josta juhlakulkue lähtee liikkeelle klo 17. Tulethan lähtöpaikalle hyvissä ajoin! Kulkue päätyy Senaatintorille, jossa ohjelmassa on muun muassa juhlapuheita ylioppilas- ja opiskelijakuntien edustajilta ja Helsingin pormestarilta sekä kuorolaulua. The traditional Student’s Independence Day torchlight procession will happen this year celebrating its 70th anniversary. Among other organizations, Karavaani will also be taking part in the procession. Welcome to join us in the group behind Karavaani’s flag and to celebrate 104-year-old Finland!
The flags will begin to assemble around 4:30 pm in front of the chapel of Hietaniemi Cemetery, from where the procession will start at 5pm. Please come to the starting point in time! The procession will end up in Senaatintori where there will be some choral singing as well as speeches from representatives of the student unions and the mayor of Helsinki. The festivities will end at approximately at 6.15pm. The whole program can be found from the following Facebook event site:

Traditionally people wear their student caps in the procession. What comes to other clothing, we recommend to dress according to weather!
