It’s that time of the year again… Konstruktio is celebrating its third birthday!

The days are getting longer and once in a while we get a glimpse of sun from behind the clouds… Come watch with us how the Pirunkirkon juhlasali in Suomenlinna fills with the glistening glory of flowers and beautiful people: it’s time to celebrate! The evening will be filled with speeches, music and of course a delicious three course meal.

So we welcome every friend of Konstruktio and their friends to celebrate our beloved student organisation for turning three years – you won’t want to miss this!

The annual ball of Konstruktio will take place on Saturday 21st of March 2020 in Pirunkirkon juhlasali, Suomenlinna. We will begin the evening with a celebrational toast and greetings at 16.30 o’clock, and will begin the dinner at 17.30 o’clock.

Ticket prices*:
Student: 60/65 € (non-alcoholic/alcoholic)
Others: 70/75 € (non-alcoholic/alcoholic)
Endorsement ticket: 85 €
* The tickets include Sunday’s sillis breakfast. With every ticket sold we will donate 1 € to Apuna ry.

Registration will open 26.2. at 12 o’clock and will end 12.3. at 23.59 o’clock. The registration form will be linked to this event. Please remember that your avec has to sign up as well, if you wish to bring one!

This year Konstruktio wants to support Apuna ry, which gives food, clothing aid and financial aid to disadvantaged families with children in the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Pirunkirkon juhlasali is wheelchair accessible. There is a wheelchair ramp in Pirunkirkon juhlasali. There is also an accessible toilet. Pirunkirkon juhlasali has some tiny doorsteps, but it is possible to go over them with a wheelchair.

WHY? Because spring, Konstruktio and birthdays!
DRESS CODE? Evening gown or dark suit.

Konstruktio has selected amazing new board to its next term! In 2019 Iina Lummepuro will continue as a chairman and Milla Rajala as a vice chairman.  Siiri Moisio will act as a treasurer and Laura Heiskanen as a secretary.

Konstruktio starts new semester with board meeting.

In addition, tutors of social research welcome you to join our new students night on monday 20.8 Tutors organize fun and casual activities to get you to know eachother better.

After 21pm also older students of social sciences are welcome to join.

Dear members of Konstruktio, it is a time for the most spectacular celebration of the year: Konstruktio is having its first anniversary ball!

Since we don’t have a long history of traditions, it is a time to start creating them. This is the party everyone will be talking about for the next hundred years.

The anniversary takes place at the prestigious hall of Tenalji von Fersen in Suomenlinna on Saturday 24.3.2018.

The evening begins at 4.30 pm with a cocktail reception where board of Konstruktio will be receiving the greetings from other associations. The Anniversary dinner is served at 5.30 pm. During the evening we will be enjoying of evening program, speeches and of course – three course anniversary dinner!

The celebration continues far into the night! Afterparty of the anniversary will be held at the Ravintolalaiva Wäiski Hakaniemenranta 11, 00530 Helsinki. We will offer direct transportation to the afterparty from the ferry.
The party continues in the Sunday morning with “silliaamiainen” in Kuppala at Unioninkatu 37 Helsinki.

The application period for tutors 2018 starts soon!

As a tutor, you play a key role in welcoming new students to the university as well as ensuring that new students will find their way to the university community. As a tutor you will act as a group leader and give guidance to new students along with university staff, making sure that the studies in the University starts smoothly. Tutors receive small financial compensation for their service. First-time tutors also receive academic credits for their initial training.

The application period for autumn 2018 is January 29th (9 a.m.) – February 12th (3 p.m.). Apply to become a tutor through the Aava application system.

Depending on your areas of interest, you can focus on tutoring new Finnish students, tutor new international exchange and degree students or become a sport tutor to motivate new students to be physically active.
