Key people

The programme is coordinated by the Network for European Studies (NES) at the University of Helsinki. In practice, the master’s programme is a joint venture of participating major subjects. This means that you can benefit from the expertise of a numerous professors and university lecturers during your studies.

The programme has also close ties to the university’s famous Aleksanteri institute, which is an important centre of Russian and Eastern European studies. It also has close cooperation with the Centre for Nordic Studies (CENS), which is a research unit with vast international networks.
